It's what you don't know, can hurt you. Part II

Bouncing off of my last article, I found it necessary to go a bit deeper into the hygiene pool. I am very aware that this type of enlightenment may offend some but what's most important is the drive to create better hygiene practices. This time around, I wish to share a few tip-bits, that are capable of altering the way we see and treat ourselves.

Good hygiene isn't just our shower practices and bathroom duties but also what we do with our garments; particularly under garments. I understand that my readership spans to different parts of the world but when it comes to undergarments, the rules are simple. In the case of women, we share a love for the cutest panties and eye- catching bras; however, the deal breaker is to have them on, and not smell the best. Understand this ladies, if you wear a bra once or at the most twice, it's dirty! It isn't wise to wash your bras with regular laundry because breasts are delicate and some laundry detergents and fabric softeners may not mesh well with your breasts, and it may cause itching and redness. The same applies to panties Ladies. I do not care if you're in a hurry and just want a quick shower, every time you shower, it's pivotal to change your underwear. You may say that it is normal practice to do so but it goes even further. Leaving dirty panties lying around in the laundry basket, is a recipe for disaster. An already dirty underwear holds sweat and sweat turns into odor; leaving it for days, creates a melting pot for mold and other nasty bacterias to grow in the fiber of the material. Guess what, washing the pile of dirty underwear after so long will not remove all the mold and bacteria and by putting them on spells yeast infection. An easy and preventative measure is just to wash your underwear in the shower with a delicate soap or detergent and hang it to dry in the sun or in a clean dry place... your vagina will thank you for it.

Don't feel attacked Ladies, men have the very same issue. I know that a lot of men have a habit of wearing one underwear for two days or more but guess what 'Fellas', "That sh*t ain't gonna fly". In case you didn't know Guys, dirty underwear does not hide under your pants because trust me, yesterday's sweat shines through like the mid day sun. The principle is simple; change your underwear after every shower then run a separate laundry cycle with warm water and a delicate detergent. This prevents chaffing and creates an environment for a fresher smelling penis. To press the matter further, some men are of the view that it's only women who experience yeast infections but allow me to burst your bubble.
It's admit-able that the knowledge of yeast infections came from women experiencing it but most men are unaware that the itching, burning or dry white spots they have going on below the belt, might be a yeast infection. Of course the first thing for a man to assume is that he got it from his spouse or sexual partner. That might be the case because if a woman has a yeast infection and is sexually active with a male, he can get it and then they both keep on passing it back and forth to each other, without even knowing it. That's one case scenario but there's another popular cause of yeast infections in men, and it stems from one of their favorite hobbies; drinking alcohol. Beer, to be exact. Guys, whether it makes you feel macho or cool, consuming beers regularly creates problems that you don't even know is happening. It is important to bear in mind that ALL alcohols have the ability to stimulate the overgrowth of candida yeast infections, but beer in particular is a very common causative factor because of the yeast content and also because of the amount of beer consumed and with relative frequency. Don't just take my word for it, do your own research. In a case like this, a female partner might be experiencing a yeast infection given to her by her spouse. A quick an effective way to resolve the issue, is to abstain from sex for at least two weeks to treat the problem individually and (for women) also to keep a mineral called Acidophilus handy to get rid of the infection with some other topical all natural methods.

Finally, I'll like to behoove us to always improve on our physical appearance. Looking, feeling and smelling good is vital in radiating excellent confidence. Ladies, whether you have a love for weave or braiding, be sure to take it out after two weeks because a head of odor will spoil any outfit. Fellas, try your best to always look attractive and smell the part too, whether it's a formal or casual occasion; you expect us to look spectacular all time... Hint- hint, clue - clue; return the favor!

Seven Tips for experiencing your Best Twenties.

It is my understanding, that every person in their childhood years would usually fantasize about reaching adulthood. Of course, half of us were not prepared for what was about to hit us and as a result, ended up being bitter adults with false pretence and some how feeling robbed. The following tips are what I hope to be a "reset button" and also a starting manual for many teenagers across the world. B elieve in your Individuality - During the course of life, its easy to compare our journey with that of our friends and relatives. The process might be thrilling as though we're on a race track and on a race track, there can only be one winner so let's look at ourselves differently. Realize that you're unique and appreciate the fact that your journey will be different than others, because your destinations are not the same. W ork on becoming your best Self - When we look in the mirror, there is always a spectacle on our body we'd like to chan...

Men aren't pursuing women anymore...

As the "Month of Love" approaches, or so it is referred; I could not help but be bothered by a frightening trend patterning among us. The word 'tradition' is now the new enemy, as an excuse for 'creative originality'. All well and good for self exploration but I believe we're taking it too far because somethings are designed to remain a certain way. In this article, I hope to broaden our scope in the area of evaluating our relationships. For some, it might be a harsh reality check and for others, a journey to knowing yourself.  At my age, and I'm not very old; I've lived through the hard evidence of seeing the spheres of communication in the dating and marriage world, belly flop. It seems that by some snap of the finger, we've switched roles. Who's responsible? I'll get to that in a while but do we remember the days when a man truly admired a woman and approached her with the sole purpose of knowing more about her? I'm not tal...

Is there a right time to say "I Love You"?

Most days, I like to force myself into thinking that the majority of people in our world are capable of logical thinking and on others; the reality sets in. The reality of watching the one thing every human has in common to crave, either implodes, explodes or  on the good days - flourishes. Not very long ago, I was asked the question - Do people say the words "I love you" too quickly? Instantly I had thoughts that were plenteous and too colourful to mention at the time but I am more than happy to share some of my honest findings and experiences here; of course all in good stead to benefit peoples of the world, looking for the answer. As humans, we rely a lot on our feelings and emotions. Sadly though, "feelings" and "emotions" do not always lead us right and in the field of love - that's where we get hurt the most. Do you remember your first boyfriend/ girlfriend in High School? You felt and thought it was love right? You thought you were special ...
